今回の震災で被害にあわれた皆様には心からお見舞いを申し上げますと共に、
お亡くなりになられた方のご冥福をお祈りいたします。
What can we do besides monetary donation? 　
募金以外に、私たちに何が出来るでしょうか？

The people in the devastated areas have a long battle ahead of them.  Is there anything else we can do besides donating money?  It is clear that support for the hearts and spirits of the victims will most certainly become essential.  This is the mana`o that gave birth to this project.

1. Take an old piece of Hawaiian clothing or cloth and cut out a 5” by 5” square.  Leaving a half inch on each side for the hem, use the remaining 4” by 4” area in the center for your message of support.  Use a permanent marker, embroidery, or any other method to make sure that the message is indelible.
   メッセージとアロハがこもった5インチ四方のSquare of Alohaをブランケットにして被災地に送り、少しでも、遠くからでもアロハを東北へ。。。それが私たちのプロジェクトです。
   
2. Please collect these squares of aloha from as many family members and friends as possible and send them to the address at the bottom or drop them off at one of the locations listed below.
      
   West Maui:  LAHAINA DIVERS, 143 Dickenson Street, Lahaina.
   Central Maui:  MAUI BAKE SHOP & DELI, 2092 West Vineyard Street, Wailuku.
   
3. The mission is to sew the squares together to make various sizes of blanketsto show, for example, through our website to those struggling in Japan to cheer them on.  The completed blankets will be sent directly to the people who suffer in Tohoku. There is no deadline as we would like to continue this project as long as we can! キレはいつまでに？という期限はありません。出来るだけ長く続け、たくさんのブランケットを作りたいと思っていますので、メッセージ入りのSquare of Alohaをたくさん下記に郵送してください！
